Online vs Brick & Mortar
Our Online Store
and our Brick & Mortar Store
in Seattle share many similarities, but they also operate differently
in many ways. If you are a patron of both, we ask that you please
take a moment to review some the differences that may affect your
shopping expectations:
PRICING: Items available through our online catalog are sometimes priced slightly lower than their in-store counterparts. This is due to a variety of factors.
BUYER'S BONUS PROGRAM: Due to these aforementioned price differences, online purchases do not qualify for our in-store Buyer's Bonus Program. Please inquire at our Seattle location for more information about this free rewards program available for our in-store patrons.
AVAILABILITY: We attempt to match the availablity of our online items to the availability of our in-store inventory. Contrary to our best efforts though, discrepancies do sometimes occur. If you wish to purchase in-store an item that you see in our online catalog, please call ahead to confirm its availability. (206) 634-3453 or (888) 534-3453.

more information. If you would like to order it, click the
"Add to Cart" button at the bottom of each page.
For many items, especially bags and totes, be sure to choose
a color before clicking the "Add to Cart" button.
After you click "Add to Cart" you will be taken to your shopping cart. From here you can adjust quantities, proceed to checkout, or keep shopping. Once you decide to checkout, the instructions will walk you through the steps of entering your shipping and payment information, as well as any gift options that you may wish to include.
Payment Methods
We accept Visa, Mastercard and Discover payments online. For
your security, we utilize 256 bit RapidSSL High Grade Encryption to provide
the highest level of secure shopping, and we never store any
of your credit card information on our servers. For more information
on the safety of online ordering, please see our Security
and Privacy policies.
If you prefer to pay by check or money order, or if you have a specific shipping need that you need us to address, you are welcome to call and place a phone order with our brick & morter location. We are open 10-7 PST Monday-Saturday, and 10-6 PST on Sundays. Our toll-free number is (888) 534-3453.

Methods and Rates:
NOTE: During this introductory phase of our online
gear store, we are only offering two shipping options: USPS
Priority and UPS Ground. As the store develops, and we are
able to better maintain stable inventory levels, we will begin
to offer more expeditious shipping options. In the meantime,
if you need something shipped 2nd Day or Next Day Air, please
contact the store directly to ensure that we have the item

We ship USPS (United States Postal Service) to all US and Canada addresses.
We also ship UPS (United Parcel Service) to all US and Canada addresses (*see below for Canadian exceptions), except US and Canadian Post Office boxes, Military APO/FPO, Foreign Service and Hawaii and Alaska Basic Delivery orders.
We currently do not offer shipping outside the US and Canada for online orders. However, our staff may be able to make other arrangements. Please contact us via phone or email with your needs.
"Business Days" for delivery are non-holiday weekdays (Monday - Friday).
Sales tax will be charged on the total of the order plus shipping fees on any merchandise order shipped to an address in Washington State, New York State, or California.
Canada delivery: We ship all Canadian orders via USPS for all street addresses. You should receive your merchandise within 15 business days of the date we receive your order, barring any unexpected customs delays.
Exceptions: US Postal Service will be used for all PO Boxes as well as the Yukon Territories, Northern Territories, and Nunavut.
Canada TAXES & DUTY: For the USPS (mail) orders listed above, you will be responsible for paying any applicable GST/HST and customs duties at the Post Office when you pickup the package.
Track Your Order
Once your order has been shipped, we will e-mail you a shipping
confirmation. If it has been shipped via UPS, we will include
a tracking number.

Guarantee of Quality
Many of the brands we sell here at Wide World Books &
Maps (including Ricks Steves, Eagle Creek, Victorinox, and
more) come with a guarantee against material and manufacturing
defects for the life of their products. If such a defect were
to develop, those manufacturers tend to either repair or replace
the product (at their option) free of charge. These guarantees
do not cover damage caused by an airline or other common carrier.
Please contact the manufacturer for additional information.
Returning Merchandise
If you've been sent a product in damaged condition please
contact our Customer Service Department (e-mail orders@wideworldtravelstore.com,
phone (888) 534-3453) for shipping arrangements and a return
authorization (RA) number.
If you are unsatisfied with your purchase for any other reason, you may return it in new condition within 30 days for a refund or exchange. (Sorry, no refund for shipping fee.) Please follow these instructions:
1. With the returned item, please
enclose the original dated invoice / receipt (or a copy) and
a note explaining the reason for the return.
2. Please include your credit card account number
and expiration date. (If your original order was paid by credit
card, we must credit any refunds to that particular account.)
3. When returning items for any reason, we suggest
using a trackable service such as UPS (United Parcel Service)
or "US Mail Insured" for items valued at $25 or
more. Please write, "ATTN: Customer Returns" on
the package.

Wide World Books & Maps will never sell
or share any of its customers' information with a third party.
The information you provide during your shopping experience
is used only to complete the transaction, confirm your order,
and respond as necessary to any questions or concerns that
may arise as a result of that specific transaction. All information
transmitted to Wide World Books & Maps is protected with
state-of-the-art 256 bit RapidSSL High-Grade Encryption.
For usability purposes, we do track 'passive' information regarding the browsing habits of our store's visitors, but this is never done on an individual level. We maintain this data strictly in aggregate terms to help ensure that our site is negotiable in a user-friendly way for our customers.
